October 13, 2009- The volleyball season came to a close yesterday with games against Revere Middle School. The 7th grade team provided nail biting victories, 25-10, 23-25, and 15-7. The 8th grade games followed with a stomping by the Chargers dominating both games 25-11. |

October 10, 2009- Congratulations to the Pin Oak Cross Country Team as they dominated at the Pin Oak Invitational meet this past Saturday! The 7th grade girls team swept the second place trophy. Well done Alexis Campa, Cierra Emanuel, Gabby Galdamez, Hannah Gantt, Jasper Gregory, Sofia Morales, Jordan Reeves, Cynthia Reyes, Giselle Sandoval, Breanna Segovia, Ashley Williams, Johnisha Williams, Kimberly Yax, and Angie Garcia.

October 6, 2009- Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams on their wins against Lanier. The 7th grade team won 2 games straight, 25-18, 25-9. The 8th grade team brought excitement in the gym by splitting 2 games 25-16, 24-16. Fans were on their feet for the third games, but in the end the Lady Chargers won 15-13.

Jordan Reeves placed 2nd on A team. Hannah Gantt placed 4th of A team. Breanna Segovia plaved 8th on A team. Kimberly Yax placed 2nd on B team. Sofia Morales placed 3rd on B team.
Connor Storey placed 2nd on A team for 7th grade boys.
Jose Bravo placed 8th on A team for 8th grade boys.
We would like to invite everyone out this Saturday t our Pin Oak Invitational Meet from 8:30a to 1a. It will be lots of fun. Refreshments will be sold. |

Pin Oak Boy’s Lacrosse is excited to play next season. Because you either signed up at an information session or emailed us directly, we are providing this information. To help determine if your son wants to play, we are holding a lacrosse camp for all interested boys 6th - 8th grade. We will go over the basics of scooping, cradling, catching, and throwing, as well as begin to introduce the game. This we be held August 17-21 from 7:30am to 9:30am. If your son is interested all you need to do is:
- Go to US Lacrosse (www.uslacrosse.org) and pay $25 to register your son as a member. This will be your sons insurance for the camp, and also will be valid for the season if he decides to play.
- Email us at pinoakboyslacrosse@gmail, and give us his US lacrosse membership number.
- Fill out the athletics forms located at http://athletics.pinoak.us/forms
- Parent approval for student participation
- Media release
- Physical examination
No equipment needs to be purchased yet, byt please bring the forms to the first day of camp The whole purpose of this camp is to see if this sport is of interest to your son and will be no contact. If it is of interest, then we will be more than happy to provide more information on equipment.
Even if your son is unable to attend the camp but know he is playing with the Pin Oak Team, please register him as a US lacrosse member and forward us the membership number. We would like to know the number of players to expect before the season begins. Once registered the US lacrosse membership is good for a year. |

Pin Oak Charger Football Camp is scheduled for August 11-13 and August 18-20. Camp will be held 5:30pm to 7pm daily. All incoming 7th and 8th grade football players are eligible to attend. Players and coaches will work on fundamentals and conditioning in preparation for the season. Student/Athletes should wear shorts, t-shirt and football cleats. A current physical (form available from the Forms section of athletics microsite) will be needed prior to participation.
